a sister that studied with me once told me that if you look in the halls, you will see some of the most best looking people on earth.
she said that sisters are far prettier than worldly people because they keep themselves so 'pure' and brothers were much manlier because they knew how to 'protect women and take the lead'.
i dont know about that!

It's kinda funny how your Profile pic looks like it's staring at the YouKnow pic... LOL!
when i was in dub-dom....i used to hate eating out....my ex always made us bow our heads and close our eyes tight shut while he gave thanks out loud.
did you do that in public??
or did you do it discreetly with your head bowed but eyes not shut....or.....head in hand...hoping people would think u were in deep thought?
Gawd! I remember being with a group of friends after a district convention. Brother 'Reaching Out' decided to give a fine witness for all onlookers by offering up a prayer on behalf of our table.
Sometimes I bow my head and do a quick, sincere thank you. Other times I rub my forehead and my eyes and act like I'm just rubbing the sleep out (I do this when the prayer is a tad longer).
I can't stand that public prayer crap, though.
because any crisis (such as this anti-crisis) is always accompanied by you know and the watchtower claiming it is unique.. .
crisis?
what crisis?.

Yeah, I feel you Prisca.
I would have liked to see how and when they met. The entire marriage is unusual. From their races to their religions...and they have a kid on top of it all.
I woner if it was all done so that they wouldn't be deported...hmmm....Just speculating here.
it must be that they were nearer to perfection in those days!
it can clearly be established that abraham was ten years older than sarah (gen 17:17) .
at the age of 75, when sarah was 65, they set out to visit egypt due to a famine.
dmouse...
There was actually a WT study article about 1-2 years ago that addressed this issue.
They basically spun it to make it seem that, regardless of her age, she must have been very attractive because that's what the bible says!

A 20-year-old Surrey man is fighting for his life after being stabbed yesterday and refusing a blood transfusion because of his beliefs.
At 1:45 a.m., the man and his 15-year-old companion approached a youth at the Surrey Central SkyTrain station, believing he was a friend. He was not. Police believe what happened next was a robbery gone wrong.
"They got into a fight and presumably the victim pulled out a knife to defend himself," said Const. Tim Shields of Surrey RCMP.
According to police, the knife was wrestled away from the victim and he was stabbed with his own weapon twice in the leg by the 16-year-old suspect who then fled.
Tracking him with a police dog, police caught the suspect after a five-block chase down streets, alleys, back yards and over fences.
The victim -- who has yet to be named by police -- is at Royal Columbian Hospital in critical, but stable condition after intense bleeding from his wounds.
The man refused blood due to his beliefs, which police did not elaborate on. However, most Jehovah's Witnesses believe it is a sin to accept a blood transfusion.
The suspect faces charges of possession of stolen mail, possession of a Canada Post mailbox key and assault with a weapon. He is well known to police and was wanted on five outstanding warrants.
Prosecutor Melissa Gillespie said that, in a case such as this, if the victim dies upon refusal of life-saving blood, there is no definitive answer as to whether charges of assault would be upgraded to murder.
It would depend on the nature of the injuries and the criminal act itself, she said.
Police are still looking for witnesses.
